How Does Microchipping Protect Pets?

Microchipping is a safe and non-invasive procedure where we implant a microchip under the skin between the shoulder blades of your cat or dog’s neck. The ISO-compliant identity chips contain unique identification numbers. Each chip is linked to the municipality’s database, which contains your contact details and your pet’s information.

This is a legal requirement in many countries, including in the UAE. It has been made mandatory so pet owners can be reunited with lost pets easily. While microchips can’t be used to track pets, once a lost cat or dog is found, their microchips can be scanned to know who their owner is.

Permanent Identification

Our pets’ collars or tags can easily get lost or damaged, but a microchip cannot be removed or altered as they are injected under your pet’s skin. Microchipping makes sure that your pet can be identified and returned to you in case they get lost.

Quick and Non-Invasive

We provide quick and simple microchipping procedures that are basically painless. The injection can be compared to a routine vaccination. Your pet won’t need any anesthesia or recovery time.

Increased Chances of Reunion

Pets that are microchipped have greater chances of being reunited with their owners if they go missing. Shelters and veterinary clinics have a special microchip scanner that can detect the chip and they can access the database to retrieve your contact details.

Compliance with Regulations

Many countries require pets to be microchipped. For example, in Dubai, it is mandatory for pets to have a microchip and be registered in the municipality’s database. Microchips are also one of the requirements when traveling abroad,
